Mindsets are formed and reinforced through neuroplasticity, the brain’s ability to adapt and change based on experiences. If you think negatively, it will become easier to think negatively. You you think positively, you will get good at thinking positively. It is like training a muscle. The more you activate certain neural pathways through consistent behaviors, the more efficient they become. Over time, this creates ingrained thought patterns and beliefs. Strong emotions also play a powerful role in shaping mindsets. Traumatic failures can deepen a fixed mindset, while encouragement and success can bolster a growth mindset.

We are not born with a fixed or growth mindset. Mindsets develop through life experiences, interactions with caregivers and educators, cultural expectations, and social influences. While mindsets may become deeply ingrained, they can be reshaped with conscious effort.
