Improve your focus with these supercharge tips.

Do you find yourself distracted and not getting your tasks done? Maybe you are using "summer time" as an excuse? Here are some supercharge tips to focus better.

Eliminate Distractions: Identify what distracts you and cut it out. If you pick up your phone too many times then turn it off. Schedule block time: A specific block of time that you dedicate for one task only.

Activate The Brain: Exercising and movement have been shown to increase brain function, concentration and learning. Integrate movement into your morning routine and take frequent active breaks throughout the day. In addition, there are specific visual exercises that can improve focus. Improve Sleep: Lack of quantity and quality of sleep can lead to lower alertness, slower thought processes, and reduced concentration. Start with regular bedtime to improve your sleep.

Pay Attention To Diet: Low-fat diets can impact focus since the brain needs certain essential fatty acids. Other restrictive diets may negatively affect concentration by not providing the nutrients the brain needs. Nuts have high levels of omega-3 fatty acids, which are vital for the cognitive functions of the brain. Dark chocolate in moderation has been shown to be an excellent food to improve concentration.  

Monitor Screen Time: Extended screen time tires out our visual system. The visual system requires a tremendous amount of brain energy. If we tire out this system we do not have enough energy left to focus as efficiently.

Environment: Set up your environment for better focus. Noise levels, room temperature, light levels, and ceiling heights are all factors that can influence our focus.
