How To Deal With Change

I hope that the start of your year 2022 was fantastic. I know that our current times are still challenging and unpredictable. It seems like everything keeps changing constantly. I am a planner and planning is definitely overrated right now. I am starting to get good at rearranging, replanning, and adjusting.

Here are three ways that I deal with changes:

#1: Mindset

I try to keep an open mindset. I ask myself during my original planning what could change/go wrong. If plans change, how can I still make the best out of the situation? What other options do I have?

 #2: Don't Give Up

When things don't go as planned it is easy to just drop it altogether. I definitely felt like that more than once in these past two years. But giving up will result in accomplishing nothing. Instead, I look at what I can learn from the changes, what can I use from the situation to grow as a person.

#3: Practice Gratitude

When changes are happening and I start feeling disappointed or frustrated, I focus on the parts that did work out. Feeling grateful at the moment shifts my mood and keeps my mind relaxed.
